2018-B027: “Gender Inclusivity in Climate Change Action”

This resolution recognizes that climate change “profoundly and differently impacts people according to their gender,” urges congregations and dioceses to help women “be involved in decisions affecting their lives,” and calls on the Office of Government Relations and Episcopal Relief and Development to lift up women’s roles on the front lines of climate action and advocate for gender-inclusive approaches to climate resilience. Also urges dioceses and communities to financially support the UN sustainable Development Goals.
